The Department of Health and Welsh Assembly Government are funding the development of training materials to accompany the delivery of the Qualification.
Training materials will be commissioned to support the following modules:
Core Modules in generic advocacy;
1 The Purpose and Principles of Independent Advocacy.
2 Providing Effective Independent Advocacy Support.
3 Maintaining the Advocacy Relationship.
4 Understanding and Responding to the Advocacy Needs of
Different Groups.
Specialist Modules;
5 Independent Adult advocacy.
6 Independent Mental Health Advocacy.
7 Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (revision of existing
materials).
